It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ormit Rayburn Waithe, who went home to be with the lord on September 22,2025, at the age of 66, due to prolong illnesses.

Ormit was born on April 25, 1959, in Leguan Island, Guyana, where he grew up surrounded by family, he later migrated to the United States to build a life of hard work. A skilled mechanic for most of his life, Ormit was known not only for his craftsmanship but also for his strong faith, his kindness, and his unwavering dedication to his family

He shared children with Glenda Douglas, and was a devoted father to Deen Douglas, Ormit Waithe Jr., Elizabeth and Lillian Waithe. He cherished his role as grandfather to Aaron and Emanuel Douglas and Theia Waithe who brought him great joy.

Ormit was the ninth of thirteen children, born to the late Lois and Louisa Waithe, and leaves behind a legacy of resilience, faith, and love.

Family and friends are invited to honor ORMIT'S life at Funeraria la fe funeral home on Sunday September 28,2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00pm. A burial service will follow on Monday, September 29,2025, at 10:30am.

Ormit will be remembered for his strength, humility, and the love he gave so freely. His memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
